What are the Human Design Types and what are they known for?

Energy Types Are The Foundation Of Human Design

Energy types (a.k.a auras) lay the foundation for Human Design and are what your entire chart is based off of. It essentially describes how your aura's energy works. Once you know what your energy type is, you can then use that information to develop your strategy, or the correct way to live your life. Your energy type will also show you your authority, or how you are supposed to be guided through your life and when/how you will know when you're living in and out of alignment. 

There are five different energy types; Manifestor, Manifesting Generator, Generator, Projector, and Reflector. Each different type has a completely different aura. Therefore they each have different gifts that they offer, a unique set of traits, and each must navigate through life with a different strategy in order to live their life with ease.

Generators are here to light up the world with their love & enthusiasm. When they are high on life, everyone benefits!

Generators are a life force, feel-good energy in motion! They are here to master the ONE thing that the love. In fact, their energy is sustainable and reliable when they love what they are doing. Because of this, Generators need to use their energy in satisfying ways every single day.

All About The Human Design Manifesting Generator Type

Manifesting Generators are here to show the world what is possible, do all the things, and sample from the delicious buffet of life! Unlike the Generator who is meant to focus on the ONE thing that they love, the Manifesting Generator is meant to do all the different things that excite them, even if it doesn't make sense on paper. 

Manifesting Generators are a life-force & a feel good energy at warp speed - others often can't keep up with them. They are meant to focus their energy on a variety of things that excite them. However, their interests can change often and they need to give themselves permission to pivot their energy when they no longer feel excitement from something. Once they are able to focus on the variety of things that they LOVE, their energy is supercharged and sustainable. 

All About The Human Design Manifestor Type

Manifestors are powerful beings that are here to initiate and inform. They get the ball rolling for the rest of us by acting on their Divine urges. They are influential beings that are here to make an impact. 

They are unapologetically themselves and are a polarizing force because of this. People either love them or... not so much.

Manifestor's energy levels are either full-out or flat-out. They need freedom and autonomy in order to thrive. 

All About The Human Design Projector Type

Projectors are our wise, insightful guides that are here to direct us, not do all the things themselves. They have a gift in being able to see how to make things better, more efficient, etc. but are meant to be the coach calling the shots, not the player.

They are gifted with a laser like focus - they can zero in on what others miss and can see deeply into other people. 

Projectors energy levels are limited and precious. They need time to themselves to rest and study what they love. They should save their energy for the people and things that truly matter. 

All About The Human Design Reflector Type

Reflectors are society's magnifying mirrors. They are here to reflect other's wellbeing back to them. They act as a gauge for how healthy and aligned the group or environment is or isn't. 

While all the other types are solar (ruled by the sun), Reflectors are lunar beings and are ruled by the moon, 

Reflectors are designed to be included and at the center of their groups. They have nine undefined (or white) energy centers that are designed to sample other's energy and reflect it back to them. 

They need time with people to try on other's energy (like they are playing dress-up and deciding who they get to be in that moment) and alone to empty out other's energy. It's no surprise that their energy levels ebb and flow based on the celestial weather and the people that they are around.
